An oil-pressure warning with the engine running is different from an oil-change reminder. Pull over safely and switch off the engine. Continuing to operate with inadequate oil pressure can cause severe damage.
Follow the owner's manual before checking the oil level. A normal level does not rule out a pressure problem, and adding oil does not automatically make restarting safe. Arrange assistance if the cause is uncertain.
Tell The Car Clinic of Miami when the warning appeared and whether there were unusual engine noises. Avoid running the engine again merely to confirm that the light returns.
